We finally managed to get out of the office around 2am on Friday, or Saturday to be more correct, which was a blessing. Took me ages to fall asleep though and then I woke up early and couldn’t get back to sleep again which was pretty annoying. My plans of lying by the pool was spoilt as well as the weather decided to continue being in a bad mood, which resulted in one of the worst thunderstorms I’ve experienced here in Singapore on Saturday. Was kind of cozy though snuggling up in the sofa watching movies. Spent the entire weekend with mum, decided I totally needed to shut off from everything so didn’t even answer my phone or anything which was just sooo nice.

With the weather being as it was we ended up doing a bit of shopping as well, I had to see if I could find a dress for a wedding at the end of the month and to my big surprise I found the perfect one. Not easy trying to find something summery in October, not even in a country like Singapore. Happy, happy.

Apart from that, it was one of the most relaxed weekends I’ve had in a really long time so feel rather re-charged and ready to tackle this week. So far it has started pretty good, there are a few changes that needs to be done to the things we did on Friday but as we have the base in place it’s just a bit of tweaking and re-phrasing of stuff so the pace is less hectic. Fingers crossed I might add. Better safe than sorry you know.

Oh, yesterday was also an anniversary for me. It’s been three years since I moved to Singapore. Can’t believe it’s been that long. Time really do fly when you are having fun….

Ok, you should always try to see the positive side of things and that is what I’m trying to do in regards to the post below – I have so wanted to get the new 3GS but couldn’t really justify getting one but guess now I don’t have to do that. Justify it that is. So you see, there can be some good in the bad.

Until the phone incident my Saturday was brilliant. The gang went to a sneak preview of “Victor/Victoria” that is being set up here in Singers. The event was held at St. Regis and the dresscode was andro-chic and us being us we went all in for this one. As soon as we arrived we were surrounded by photographers wanting to take our pics and that is something this group never say no to, yes we are a bunch of cam divas. Cannot say I was surprised by this, the interest of the photogs, as we were among the few who had taken the theme to heart and really gone for it, and it was appreciated…apparently we ended up being the headpic for the article that was in the papers on Sunday. Am trying to get a copy of it and if I do I will scan it for you guys to see….until then, here are a few chosen ones from my album.

I have, like I would guess a lot of others, eagerly waited for the first pictures from the Jimmy Choo collection for H&M to get out on the net and now they are finally here. After having had a look I cannot say I was that impressed to be honest. Yes, there are some nice pieces and shoes but I didn’t really get that “wow-feeling”…not like I did when seeing the Matthew Williamson collection (which I really liked).

Only piece I kind of like is the long dress in the middle in the picture below, but I would not queue up for hours to get it. Not that I would be able to even if I wanted to as we don’t have an H&M here in Singapore. Strangely enough. But still.

Anyway, if you want to have a look at more pictures of the collection (in stores from November 14) I suggest you pay Nitrolicious a visit.

Victoria Beckham showed her Spring 2010 collection at New York Fashion Week and once again I’m blown over – I really do love her designs, they are superclassy and in a style that is close to what I want to achieve personally. Only problem is you need one hell of a figure to wear them. And a big wallet.

Below are some that really caught my eye and that I wouldn’t mind having in my wardrobe.

Not many (girls at least) have missed that “Sex and the City 2” is currently being filmed and from the pics it looks like we might be thrown all the way back to the 80’s – seeing the below outfit on SJP reminds me of when I entered a talentshow as Madonna. Dressed almost like that… *shudder*.

And speaking of outfits, Kim Cattralls is…hmm, interesting. Very Twisted Sisters. And the hair! Hilarious.

Cannot wait for when the movie is in theaters – this screams Gold Class all the way. With lots of Cosmopolitans. Or Veuve.

I like the news about H&M doing a collaboration with Jimmy Choo for a shoe and handbag collection (apparently even a clothing line) in late autumn – what I don’t like is that we still don’t have an H&M in Singapore. Rumours about them moving into the new ION shopping centre turned out to be just that. Rumours.

Guess I’ll have to take a trip to Hong Kong in November.

I know how to do quite a lot of things, but if there is one thing I know how to do really well it has to be how to shop (read: spend money). Yes, once again I succeeded in coming home with more things than initially planned but they were all things I really needed. Ehm, that’s what I’m telling myself anyway and I’m gonna stick to it.

What I got? Hmm, am not sure I should tell but here goes. You all know how I started to count shoes and handbags yesterday right, and realized that I probably hadn’t enough? Well, just to be on the safe side I decided to add two pairs of shoes and one handbag to the collection. Got two pairs of flip-flops as well but those I don’t really count as shoes. Also bought some tops and a cute little jacket for when I go to Sweden for my holidays. Add to that some bangles and necklaces and you pretty much know what was in the bags. Not bad work for a Saturday afternoon huh?

The black belt in shopping I’ve trained so hard for is secured for the near future. Damn, I’m good! Haha….
