Taking a deep breath

After having been out drinking wine with the frenchies on Wednesday and then a few drinks with a friend yesterday I am now really looking forward to a nice and quiet weekend. Am planning to do that thing I am so good at doing – absolutely nothing. Well, almost nothing anyway. Have to head over to mums tomorrow and try on the dress I’m to wear at the wedding next weekend, and then I might meet up with Pontus for dinner but that will be a very soft and easy one. No partying for this girl. Yes I know, doesn’t really sound like me does it? But, even a partyprincess needs a break every now and then. And I’ll be back.

For now though, relaxation is the keyword….

Back in the game

I have been a bit quiet lately, the neck thingy messed up my system completely so got a bit of a cold so have been down and out. And to help my neck I decided to stay away from the computer. Did help a bit but now that I’m back infront of it, the pain is back. Slightly better, but still there.

That didn’t prevent me from attending the ball on Saturday. It was a blast. As usual. Good food, great company, lots of dancing and of course laughter. Loved my dress, it was perfect for the event. Needless to say yesterday wasn’t the most productive of days. Wasn’t hungover, just very tired. Spent the day in the sofa watching DVDs. Lazy I know but hey, it was Sunday after all. Then you are allowed to do absolutely nothing.

Am in a much better mood today. Was to be honest more annoyed than mad last night but that is now old history. Today we are focusing on it being Friday and the day of the week that I think I like the most. Can it get any better than knowing you have two days of freedom ahead of you? Not in my book.

Hope you all have something nice planned for your weekend. Me, I have a housewarming, a location scouting and then I will try to fit in some “me-time” with a massage and perhaps a facial. Sweet!

We finally managed to get out of the office around 2am on Friday, or Saturday to be more correct, which was a blessing. Took me ages to fall asleep though and then I woke up early and couldn’t get back to sleep again which was pretty annoying. My plans of lying by the pool was spoilt as well as the weather decided to continue being in a bad mood, which resulted in one of the worst thunderstorms I’ve experienced here in Singapore on Saturday. Was kind of cozy though snuggling up in the sofa watching movies. Spent the entire weekend with mum, decided I totally needed to shut off from everything so didn’t even answer my phone or anything which was just sooo nice.

With the weather being as it was we ended up doing a bit of shopping as well, I had to see if I could find a dress for a wedding at the end of the month and to my big surprise I found the perfect one. Not easy trying to find something summery in October, not even in a country like Singapore. Happy, happy.

Apart from that, it was one of the most relaxed weekends I’ve had in a really long time so feel rather re-charged and ready to tackle this week. So far it has started pretty good, there are a few changes that needs to be done to the things we did on Friday but as we have the base in place it’s just a bit of tweaking and re-phrasing of stuff so the pace is less hectic. Fingers crossed I might add. Better safe than sorry you know.

Oh, yesterday was also an anniversary for me. It’s been three years since I moved to Singapore. Can’t believe it’s been that long. Time really do fly when you are having fun….

What a week!

It’s almost 01.30 and I’m still at work. Cannot really say this is my preferred way to spend a Friday night/evening. Desperation got us to open a bottle of wine so that helps a little bit. So does the music I decided to put on full blast to keep us awake. The end of the night is not fully in sight yet but keeping my fingers crossed that we do get out of here within the next hour or so. Wishful thinking maybe. Rather put in a few extra hours tonight though than having to come in working over the weekend, that would completely screw up my weekend – this is the first one where I have absolutely nothing planned so I was to spend it with mum whom I’ve neglected immensely. Hopefully I still can.

I’m just praying that next week will be better than this one….

Not happy

Nope, today has for sure not been better than the other days this week. It’s been far worse. And it doesn’t look like it’s gonna brighten up either as, instead of relaxing on the couch infront of a DVD, I will spend the evening in the office. Yay.

There is something positive though – the weather seems to agree with me.

It’s also in a bad mood….

Ok, you should always try to see the positive side of things and that is what I’m trying to do in regards to the post below – I have so wanted to get the new 3GS but couldn’t really justify getting one but guess now I don’t have to do that. Justify it that is. So you see, there can be some good in the bad.

Until the phone incident my Saturday was brilliant. The gang went to a sneak preview of “Victor/Victoria” that is being set up here in Singers. The event was held at St. Regis and the dresscode was andro-chic and us being us we went all in for this one. As soon as we arrived we were surrounded by photographers wanting to take our pics and that is something this group never say no to, yes we are a bunch of cam divas. Cannot say I was surprised by this, the interest of the photogs, as we were among the few who had taken the theme to heart and really gone for it, and it was appreciated…apparently we ended up being the headpic for the article that was in the papers on Sunday. Am trying to get a copy of it and if I do I will scan it for you guys to see….until then, here are a few chosen ones from my album.
